Our program teaches students to understand, speak, write, and read in Spanish. Students gain proficiency in the target language by reading fun stories; playing games; singing songs and chants; acting out scenes from the stories they study; learning to ask questions and give responses, and creating stories of their own. This program also helps students develop International Mindedness – the awareness, understanding, and appreciation of different Spanish-speaking cultures and geography through the lens of their own culture, including practices, products, and perspectives. We hope this program will encourage students to continue their Spanish education and encourage the future exploration of Spanish-Speaking countries and areas of the Twin Cities.
